Registration & Requirements
The Code of Organization for gangs and families in Ashfall Frontier
📋 Mandatory Registration
Any group with over 5 players acting as a gang or family must be registered and approved through a gang application in Discord before engaging in any gang-related roleplay. This includes using a gang name, claiming turf, or doing organized criminal activity.
👥 Minimum Membership
Crews must have at least 5 active members (including the leader) upon inception. If activity falls below the required number, crews will receive a notification to increase activity within a 30-day period.
👑 Leader Requirements
Gang leaders are the only people who can apply and must have 2 weeks of Discord activity and 20 hours of activity in the county.
⏱️ Activity Enforcement
If activity does not improve after 30 days, the gang will be disbanded with an option to reapply after 30 days with increased activity/membership.
🔍 Trial Period
All new gangs/families go through a 15-day trial period during which they only receive two warnings before being disbanded. During the 15-day trial period, new gangs are allowed to participate in all gang-related activities and add new members to their roster.
⚔️ Gang War Restrictions
New gangs must wait until the end of the 15-day trial period before they can start gang wars. You can remove members at any time. You must continue to comply with all Ashfall Frontier County Server Rules. This includes interaction with law enforcement agencies.
🚫 Membership Restrictions
🎓 New Member Initiation
All new members must serve a 2-week (14 day) initiation period. During initiation, members are expected to participate in gang activities and demonstrate roleplay standards. Initiation may include probationary responsibilities set by leadership.
📖 Claimed Relations & Backstory
When applying or registering, gangs/families must state claimed relations between members (family/gang ties) and provide a short backstory explaining those ties. Using shared last names for family groups is encouraged to maintain clarity in roleplay and claims.
Territory & Property
Rules for claiming and defending your ground in Ashfall Frontier
🛡️ Property Defense
Gangs/Families who own private property can DEFEND that property without restrictions. Businesses and cities designated as your "Territory" are excluded from this list. The crew that invades or attacks may only consist of 7 people. (See Hostile Scene cap limit rule for exceptions)
Gang Wars
Structured conflict resolution between registered gangs
📜 Gang War Rules
Gang wars require staff approval.
- Reason for the war
- Terms/stakes being fought over
- Whether the war is KOS or lessened interaction time
Activities & Restrictions
The Criminal Code for gang operations in Ashfall Frontier
⚖️ Gang Alignment
You must be strictly a law abiding Family or a Criminal gang. You cannot be a mix of both. Criminal gangs can only own businesses in criminal towns and can not own core businesses. Only one core or "hands" business per family.
🌎 External Criminal Activity
Any criminal activity outside of your gang's territory must comply with all general Ashfall Frontier County rules. Also, remember that Ashfall Frontier County officials can remove your gang at any time, for any reason. This means your gang may be disbanded and/or banned from the server. Any violation of the gang's rules will be counted as a violation of the rules.
Leadership & Expectations
The Chain of Command and responsibilities for gang leaders
👑 Leader Responsibilities
Gang/Family leaders are expected to ensure that their members comply with the server's rules. You (as a leader) should only hire trustworthy people, and as such, they are YOUR responsibility, not ours.
📊 Leadership Structure
A gang must have a minimum of 1 leader and a maximum of 2. Your gang must have at least 5 active members (including the leader). Characters can only be on ONE list at a time.
⚖️ Strike System
A formal strike system is in effect for gangs/families. Strikes are issued to the group (not necessarily individual members) and escalate in consequence:
Strikes are tracked and may be lifted per staff policy; repeated or severe violations may lead to permanent action.
⭐ Required Standard
- Clear identity and goals — your group must have defined aims, not just "we're bad guys".
- Rivalries and story arcs — gang RP should have purpose beyond bullying civilians.
- Civilians are not mandatory participants — if someone isn't engaging, you pivot your scene or find willing participants.
⚖️ Accountability
Leadership can be held accountable for repeated low-quality patterns by members. Repeated issues may result in warnings, suspensions, or disbandment of the gang.

Special rules and expectations for pre-approved family groups
📝 Definition & Eligibility
Whitelisted Families are groups pre-approved by staff as roleplay-focused families with enhanced responsibilities. Families must apply through the gang/family application process and provide a clear backstory, membership list, and claimed relations between members.
⭐ Expectations
- Maintain high-quality roleplay and avoid repeated low-effort or toxic behavior.
- Adhere to the 2-week initiation period for new members.
- Families may be subject to additional review for claims, titles, and town-claim privileges.
🚫 Revocation
Whitelisted status may be revoked for poor RP, repeated rule violations, or failure to maintain the group's stated standards. Staff decisions regarding whitelisting are final.
⚖️ Three-Strike Policy for Whitelisted Families
Whitelisted Families are held to a higher standard. A three-strike policy applies to WL families for crime and poor RP:
Strikes are tracked by staff and apply to the family as a whole. Repeat or severe violations may accelerate consequences. Appeals may be submitted via the standard support ticket process but staff decisions on WL enforcement are final.
